So sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. He had a good life to give you good memories of him. Peace be with you. Love, Marge and Chuck Marino
Mr. Goodell was a legend in Amherst. He had an incredible ability to either create or repair anything mechanical. My former father-in-law, Bill Boyce, was the first to tell me about John Goodell. When Dave married my sister, I saw first hand how skilled he must have been and how freely he must have shared his craftsmanship- both mechanical and in wood- with his children. I salute him for all he brought to, and left in, this world.
John always had such a great sense of humor and I can still hear his great laugh. If I'm not mistaken he may have something to do with my dad getting his job at Lorain Products. What a great dad, father and grandfather he was!
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
Sorry for your loss.
John will be missed by many, i was sorry to hear of his passing. In addition to being friends with the Goodell family and John, I had a chance to work with him at Lorain Products early in my career, and learned much in that time. He was generous with his time and experience and was extremely helpful to me and many others.
Very sorry to hear of John's passing. Didn't know Dave's dad that well but my wife and I both met him several times when we both worked at Lorain Products years ago. He was a fine gentleman and his family is certainly lucky to have had him for so long. Our sincerest condolences to all the family. Bill & Theresa Schubert
Our thoughts and prayers go out to your family. Growing up I remember you keeping our holiday turkey in your freezer and when my dad, Lenny, and I came to pick it up, John brought up a cornish hen and I was surprided that the turkey had shrunk. May memories help you through this time. Tom and Joanne (Dudziak) Waltz
