It saddened me deeply to hear of John's passing today. John has always had a special place in my heart as he spent every minute of every day at my mothers side through her illness. A true testament to the size of his heart! His contagious laugh and ear to ear smile will always be with me. Condolences to all his family.

My name is Bob Underwood, in Dayton, Ohio. I send condolences to the family. I played Little League baseball on Mr. Kelley's team (VFW). Mr. Kelley was a wonderful coach. I learned a lot. When I was 12 I remember getting a visit at home from Mr. Kelley the day after I hit my first Little League home run. Mr. Kelley stopped by to give me the home-run ball, and it was encased in a trophy. That was a wonderful surprise. I still have it. It was a thoughtful and generous act by Mr. Kelley. We had a lot of fun playing baseball for Mr. Kelley. RIP.
John and Pat always took care of the Florida Donohue boys when we came to Lorain. Very sorry to hear of John's passing. He and Pat are together again!
