Our deepest condolences on the loss of John. Going back aways John was a member of the Saint Helen Men's Golf League(Newbury Ohio) and participated in many of the leagues golf trips to Pipestem State Park in West Virginia, even after the move to Charlotte he insisted that he be contacted as to the date of the next trip. To this day our golf trips are still going on and we always look back at the 'old' days!

John was an amazing stepfather and "Grandpa" to my girls, and a fine husband to my wonderful mother. It is with a heavy heart that we give him back to God, as we will miss him tremendously.....God bless you John Schmidt, we are glad you are no longer in pain and dancing with mom in heaven :)

My husband and I knew John via the "Trio" family here in Charlotte for quite a few years, and truly loved getting to know him. We had many dinners together and felt he was part of our family. We will miss him dearly, but know he is happy to be reunited with those he loved that left him way too early. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his children at this difficult time.

Bonitz Flooring Group extends our deepest sympathy for your lost. Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you. John and Bonitz go way back. He was a very good friend and a consummate professional. He was largely responsible for helping us keep the faith in the early days in doing business with Johnsonite. Please know that John was respected by many.

My deepest sympathy to John's family. I work for bpi out of Nashville TN and John "showed me the ropes" when it came to the Johnsonite line. He was more that a co-worker to me, I considered (and was honored) for him to be my friend. He was so passionate about his career, but much more about the love that he had for his wife , whom he always called his "girlfriend" and his family. I have called him several times since he has been ill, and left messages, I hope he got them. Eric Parada and Erin Salin have been keeping me updated. My heart is heavy for you all, but know he is singing and dancing in heaven. I lost my Dad a year ago, and John reminded me so much of him. I love you John Schmidt !!
