I am so saddenned by the news. Karen and I were such great friends in school but only saw each other a few times in the last 20 years or so. I had thought often of visiting with her when I am home on leave but never did. We always think that we have more time. I will miss her and what our friendship has meant to me. Also to what it could have been. My heart goes out to her entire family.
