Kathleen Curran's Obituary
Kathleen R. Curran (nee Schwerthofer), 67, of Sheffield Lake passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was surrounded by her family.
She was born on April 23, 1945 in Cleveland, Ohio to Frank and Alberta Schwerthofer. Ms. Curran moved to Sheffield Lake in 1971 where she raised her five children.
Kathleen was currently employed by Westbay Healthcare & Rehab , where she worked as a nurse for 17 years. Kathy was a dedicated nurse who always put her patients first and really enjoyed her job.
In her spare time Ms. Curran enjoyed cooking, word search puzzles, going to the casino, taking walks and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her sons, Melvin Curran, of Amherst, Timothy Curran of Phoenix,AZ and Martin (Andrea) Curran, of Sandusky; daughters, Colleen Centifanti, and Christine Curran, both of Sheffield Lake; grandsons, Jayden, Gavin and Evan; sisters, Carol Lantz, of Phoenix AZ and Frances Callaghan, of Cleveland.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Alberta Schlutz and her father, Frank Schwerthofer.
The Curran family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 from 1:00 – 3:00 and 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
