I had the privilege of meeting Kenney many years ago when i was not long out of the Marine Corps & working for a Builder Kenney did work for. Around 1983. I asked Kenney for a job & he hired me on the spot, thought maybe i would learn to be a Carpenter. He was working on a new house in Avon Lake with his brother "Slick", who i believe was laid off from Ford at the time. Those two were fun & hilarious to work with. Kenny taught me alot in the 2 years i worked for him, always kind & patient. Except the time he sent me to the lumber yard in his truck to pick up some lumber. Should have taken 2 or 3 trips to get it all but i figured I'd get it all in 1 load. Kenney's jaw about hit the ground when i pulled up & his truck was loaded like a Semi, lol. He said "Boy, that ain't no lumber truck". He said the tires looked flat coming down the road, lol. I ended up becoming an Electrician for 38 yrs & wired many of the Homes that Kenney built, but give him the credit for getting me into the Building Trades. I lost touch with Kenney many years ago & always remembered him. He was a good Man, kind, compassionate, & a Teacher. Rest in Heaven Kenney.
