I am truly sorry about your loss. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
I only met Leona one time, at Jeanies house for a birthday party for one of her grandchildren but her laughter and smile will always remain a cherished memory in my mind. She will be greatly missed.
We little knew that morning
That God would call your name
In life we loved you dearly
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you did not go alone
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
You left us beautiful memories
Your love is still our guide
And though we cannot see you
You are always by our side.
Our family chain is broken
And nothing seems the same
But as God takes us one by one
The chain will link again.

Dear Aunt Lea,
God must have needed a perfect flower for his garden because he called you home. I love and miss you!

Lea and I kept in touch by phone a lot. Always called her my little sister. Most of my brothers and sisters always reminded me that I was a mean sort of kid. But Lea always said that it was not true. She probably was fibbing but I really liked her for saying it anyway. She will be missed so much especially for her hot wings and all her good food at the family get togethers.
Happy heavenly life little sister. Your (little bit mean) brother, Bill
So sorry for the loss of a great woman. She will be dearly missed by all here.. Loved her with all my heart. Couldnt ask for a better mom, grandmother, friend or woman. Prayers are with all the family..
I miss her so already. I've never met someone so selfless and sweet in my life. She loved all of our friends so the heartache caused by her passing will be tremendous. I can hear her telling me " stop crying and straighten my face up!" Like she used to when I called her upset asking advice. Too many fond memories and laughs to list. Rest in peace
I love you Aunt Lea! You will truely be missed. I remember your sweet loving ways. Always trying to make everyone happy. Give daddy a hug for me!
the most kind hearted woman I ever met..im glad I got to know her. My prayers to family an friends of her. God has a special place for Leona..God rest her soul..Another beautiful angel to heaven..
Maw-maw was such a kind-loving and sweet woman. She always knew how to cheer me up because she always was able to tell when i was feeling sad. She always wanted to help others even if she wasn't doing so good her self. I will always remember the sweet and fun memories that we always had together. I love you maw-maw and since you were called home you can now rest in peace! Tell mom, uncle randy and grandpa we all love and miss them too! Love Kassondra, Brandon, Destiny, Madahlynn and bubby!
I first met Lea in 2003 when I met her son John. She immediatly accepted me into her life and made me part of her family from the first time I met her. She became my mother, my friend, and grandmother to my children. I'll hold dear the many memories I have of her...The Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners that we spent in the kitchen over a hot stove, the cookouts at Findlay on the summer holiday weekends, the "hi baby, how you feeling?" whenever i was sick, and so many more. I love you Lea. You'll always hold a special place in my heart. Give my mom and dad that special hug of yours, and tell them I love them.
