Manuel Antonio Pagan's Obituary
Manuel Antonio (Tony) Pagán , age 70 , of Lorain, passed away with his family by his side on October 10, 2024. He was born on November 22, 1953 in Lorain, Ohio. He is a 1972 graduate of Admiral King High School. He worked at Mercy Hospital for over 40 years. He was an avid Cleveland Professional sports fan. He enjoyed sports betting, lottery playing, playing softball, and playing dominos, where he self-proclaimed himself as Champion. He treasured time with family more than any other events and hobbies. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, especially he valued his time with his cousin, Rufus. He also had a strong faith in Jesus Christ and God and an avid believer in prayer. Tony was often described as the person with the biggest heart. His home was open to family and friends which always came with a meal. He was always a advocate for those in need.
He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Barbara Ann Pagán; children, Brian Pagán (Carla) , Michelle Nimene (Jay) and Stephanie Smith ; grandchildren, Tehja Rush Pagán, Antonio Pagán, Chrizmen Nimene – AKA ‘Fudgie”, Alivia Morales (Andre) and Kiara Smith; great grandchildren – Krue Coles and Kai Morales; and siblings, Ray “Munchie” (Dianna) Pagan, of Lorain, Jose “Cheo” (Patti) Pagan, of Dublin, OH, Carlos “Collie” (Patti) Pagán, of Lorain, Socorro “Coki” (Carmelo) Gomez, of Lorain, Robert “Papo” (Marian) Pagán, of Palm Desert, CA, Maria “Mary” (Edward) Majoras, of Lorain, and Rafael “Baby” (Beth) Pagán, of Newark, DE. He will also be missed by grand dog, “Rocco” and his grand cat, “Baxter”.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Rosario A. and Bienvenida (nee Perez) Pagan; brothers, Carlos Pagán and Roe Pagán; and daughter in-law Noemi Pagán
The family will receive friends at Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, on Tuesday, October 15th, from 3 -6 pm, with family and friends sharing thoughts and memories beginning at 6:00 pm. The funeral service will be Wednesday, October 16th at 11:00am also at the funeral center, followed by a luncheon at a location that will be announced. A private service at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain will occur at a later date.
