Mary E. Anderson's Obituary
Mary E. Anderson was born on January 28, 1928, to Julia Lynn (nee Marsh) and Leonard Dixon, in Mobile, Alabama. She departed this life on Sunday, April30, 2017 at her home, while under the care of Hospice of the Western Reserve.
Mary knew Jesus her entire life. She also enjoyed crocheting, traveling with her family, and was quite the avid fisher.
Mary is survived by her loving children; Juanita Robinson, of Mansfield, Burniece Blanton, of Cleveland, Princess (Willie) Walker, of Lorain, Jerome (Carolyn) Anderson, of Oberlin, and Debra (Ricky) Fryson, of Elyria, grandchildren; Rebecca (Brian) Mobley, Kenneth (Mandy)Fryson, Constance Fryson, Benjamin (Shyanne) Fryson, Carl Jones, Rasheed Jones, Khalilah Jones, Hope Blanton, William Blanton, Richard Blanton, Eric Blanton, Annazette (Joe)Wooten, Yvonne (Will) Roberts, Anthony Walker, Leah Walker, Joseph Walker, Rachel Anderson, Sjaneak Renee Anderson, Jerome Anderson, Jr., Michelle Anderson, Melissa Anderson, Leandra Robinson, Stephanie Jackson, Micduff Robinson, and Adeana (Andrew)Steward, more than 30 great great grandchildren, brothers; W.C. (Ada) Dixon, of Columbus, and Nathaniel (Zenobia) Dixon, of Elyria, and sisters; Jeannie (O.L.) Shannon, of Elyria, and Mentoria (Robert) Gaddis, of Atlanta, GA.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Prince Anderson, on December 17, 2015, a daughter, Gloria Jones, her parents: Leonard and Julia Lynn (nee Marsh) Dixon,5 brothers; Alfred Marsh, Sam Lee Marsh, Elijah Marsh, Corneilus Dixon, and Leonard Dixon, and 2 sisters; Damay Marsh and Danney May Marsh.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 4, from 4 – 7 pm, in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, where her funeral services will also be held on Friday, at 1:00 pm. Willie Walker, Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
