Mary Jo Spain's Obituary
Mary Jo Spain (nee Krasienko), age 66, of Amherst, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was born on January 9, 1950, in Lorain. When she married the love of her life is when she made her home in Amherst. Mary Jo was a faithful member of St. Joseph Parish. She was such a loving and devoted wife, excellent mother, proud grandmother, and dear friend to many. She was adored and cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing her, which was a lot of people.
She will be deeply missed by her husband of 45 years, John, son, Josh (Eliza) Spain, of Amherst, daughter, Tiffany (Keith) Gutierrez, of Amherst, her 3 granddaughters; Madison, MacKenzie, and Felina, her twin sister, Mary Ann Kelm, and sister, Patti Gelonese.
Mary Jo was preceded in death by her parents; John and Mary “Lucille” (nee Austin) Krasienko, and her brother, William.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 12, from 3-7 pm, in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Her funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, at 10:30 am, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 200 St. Joseph Drive, Amherst.
