I worked with Mike in the CBP driver program FLETC/Charleston. He was a great instructor and gave me a few tips to help me in my classes. He was professional and took the training responsibility seriously. My condolences and prayers to his wife & family. Will McGraw, Shaftsbury VT.

Mike was more than just a coworker—we worked closely together. He could be outspoken, direct, and annyoying at times (we can all relate), but what brought us together was his dedication to the CBP mission: to safeguard our nation. Mike had a passion for justice that set him apart. His commitment taking on different cases, getting drugs off the streets, and putting criminals behind bars made him a dedicated officer and special person. He will truely be missed.
The news of Michael’s sudden passing came with much sadness today. I worked with him along with a handful of other pretty good instructors teaching both CBP officers and Border Patrol Agents the skills needed in pursuit driving. Those years in Charleston, SC and the time we spent together in Artesia, NM will stay a memory of mine forever. I pray that Wendy and their kids will be comforted in the days, weeks and years ahead. I’m fairly certain he will be missed by all those who knew him. May you RIP my brother.

I loved you brother. Travel to Chicago for HSDN training not knowing you couldn’t go in the room. You acting as a supervisor as I was acting as your boss. We were blind leading the blind but we had fun and understood what it all really meant in the big picture! Life is short, don’t sweat the small stuff!

I met Mike at the FOA in Charleston while he was a driver's training instructor. The LSNII team would be role players for his scenarios from time to time. He was quite a character and I am sorry to see him go. Rest in peace, Mike. I pray for peace and comfort for the family, Karla Anderson-CBP, Columbus, OH
