Janine & Alex, Mike's memorial was very nice. His tributes were well thought out and well planned by you. We liked the way you hosted a hard and hot event. Mike was smiling the whole time and I could visualize Mike instructed Alex and Ben about how to exactly do a project and then clean up once project was completed.

Mike had a talent for making people laugh at just about anything. (Sometimes at Janine’s expense). Like the way she wasn’t recycling correctly or loading the dishwasher the right way. Even some of the most painful events in their lives, Mike pointed out the ridiculousness and made us laugh about it! Not many people could do that. I feel privileged to have spent time with him. I love you buddy Janine.
I will always remember Mike as one of my best friends and the greatest neighbor ever.
We were OPE neighbors for 15 years. I will miss our hundreds of backyard conversations, our crazy pool parties, Eagles Wednesday's and our golfing excursions.
You will be greatly missed my dear friend.
Manic sense of humor, big sparkle in his eye... the world needs more of that!
We did our annual Mohican canoe trip for 13 years; starting in 1998 and making our last one in 2011. I only wish I could remember all the fun and crazy things you did just for laughs. I’ll miss you Mike.
I only met Mike a few times but he invited us right in to his home at one of the OPE parties. I just remember how funny he was and the many stories from Michelle. My sincerest condolences to Janine and Alex.
Uncle Mike; the goofy, crazy, and best uncle! At the countless sleepovers with Alex when we were little I always looked forward to the bedtime stories from Uncle Mike. These were not your typical bedtime stories- these were stories of Uncle Mike’s childhood and the crazy things he did with his brothers and buddies. They were the absolute best stories! As I got older, the stories kept coming and got even better and better! He hated when I wore my favorite glitter pants over their house… or did he like it so he had an excuse to clean again? The Dobos’ always loved jumping in their pool on our way home from the boat- but we first had to put on our “pool bathing suits” so the lake water wouldn’t ruin the pool. Ryan and I loved spending time with Uncle Mike and Aunt Janine (which made my mom crazy when we would come home from Columbus and head right over to their house to hang out- hehe). Ryan and I have always looked up to Uncle Mike and Aunt Janine and their incredible love they have for Alex. I will always cherish the memories of pool days, martini nights, Browns games, Ziggy wings, and random pop-ins from the Mawson family. I will miss you Uncle Mike. So much love and prayers to Aunt Janine and Alex.
Mike was the friendliest and funniest person I knew. I always remember him at the ope parties and all the crazy stories he told. He was a great father and a wonderful husband. He will be missed.. Prayers to Janine and Alex.
Though I haven’t seen Mike in many years, I have fond memories of our high school friendship. My sincerest condolences go out to Janine whom I remember from BHS band days. When we were in high school, Amy Kalo and I used to come over to visit Stephanie and play with the little brothers! I babysat the boys a couple times and used to tease Mike that he needed a babysitter too! I remember Mike as a kind and funny person. He was a good guy back then and it sounds like he grew up to be an amazing man. I am so sorry and was very sad to hear of his passing. Love to his entire family. Jill (Walther) Camp
