Birth date: Sep 7, 1951 Death date: Aug 8, 2025
Michael Schue, 73, of Amherst, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025, doing what he loved most, fishing in his peaceful, happy place at the Amherst Outdoor Life Association. Born September 7, 1951, in Lorain, Ohio, to James and Me Read Obituary

I will refer to you as Mikey, my dear friend and workmate, Michael Schue. I know how your family aches, as I do today, knowing I missed your transition to a realm " where you have no Wants." I am sure you will never match that 15-pound Walleye I caught that you witnessed in 1978, during the West Lorain Saga. I started calling you "Mikey" after you ate a box of LIFE Cereal. Mikey will eat it, which became common jargon around the refrigerator.
I showed my grandson a photo of you from the past, and he agreed that you looked like Michael Landon of Little House on the Prairie fame.
I love you, Mikey, and will miss you until we hook up once more, and I know I was not as good as you.
That gentle smile and pure goodness radiating from the spirit within you will never leave me, nor has it ever left me. Keep an eye on me, Mikey. By the way, Deb, I fully understand your emptiness.
Our moms were good friends. Mike and I have known each other since Larkmoor School and making Communion at St. Mary's. I will always remember in 3rd grade, I got my glasses. They were in my desk and the teacher told me to put them on...I did and Mike told me that I looked cute! My sympathy to all.
We send our deepest condolences and prayers for all of your family. We hope all the wonderful memories you've had together will be a comfort. Mark and Michelle Budka
Knew Mike in high school. He was a very kind person who was friendly and a good friend. Sorry to hear about his passing and wish his family well. I am sure you will miss him but he will always be with you.
