Patrick C. Davis' Obituary
Patrick C. Davis, affectionately known as "P.D." to his loved ones and friends, left this world unexpectedly on Thursday, July 13th, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, hard work, and unwavering dedication to his family and community. Born in Amherst and raised in Lorain, he was a familiar face to many, having attended Clearview High School and establishing deep roots in the community he called home.
Patrick was a true "jack of all trades," possessing a remarkable ability to tackle any task he set his mind to. Whether it was roofing houses, working on cars, or lending a helping hand with various projects, he approached each endeavor with a tireless work ethic and a determination to get the job done right. His skillful hands and resourceful nature made him an invaluable asset to those around him, and he could always be counted on to fix, build, or improve just about anything.
Alongside his diverse range of skills, Patrick was a man of unwavering commitment to his personal growth. He faithfully attended Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings, finding solace in the supportive community that embraced him.
He had a profound love for fishing and cherished the simplicity and beauty of camping, relishing in the opportunity to disconnect from the world and reconnect with the natural wonders surrounding him. He was a man of boundless generosity and compassion, always eager to lend a helping hand to anyone in need or share one of his many stories. Above all, P.D.'s greatest joy in life was his children who he loved dearly.
The bereaved family of Patrick C. "P.D." Davis includes his beloved children: Byron of Lorain, Maisy (Owen Polly) Davis of Elyria, Destiny Rodriguez of Elyria, Savannah Davis of Elyria, and Jaxson Davis of Lorain. His grandchildren Desmond and Micah Davis brought him immeasurable joy and were a cherished part of his life.
He is survived by his mother, Linda M. O'Brien (nee Leidenheimer), of Lorain, sister, Jennifer Thomas (nee Davis) and his niece, Peyton Thomas. He also leaves behind his grandmother Shirley Davis of Lorain, uncles: Rick Leidenheimer of Florida, Dennis Davis of Illinois, Jim Davis of Florida, and Steve Davis of Lorain and his many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Patrick H. Davis, his uncles Joe and Fred Davis, and his aunts Shirlene Davis and Connie Carabello. Additionally, he was preceded in death by his grandparents Fritz Davis and Richard L. and Mary Leidenheimer.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, July 18th from 4 to 7 pm at Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, located at 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst.
