I just heard about Ric and was so saddened about this news.

I worked with Ric in Montreal at Capitalstream and spent many long hours with him. He was an amazing person who I connected with right away (I actually interviewed for the Montreal job at your house and we got along so well, we went to a local bar to grab a beer and watch the OSU game after). He was a great manager and better friend.

My thoughts and prayers go out to your family. Ric will be missed.

Ric-I'll be part of you forever!
We started together from the beginning our connection was quite unique to say the least! We were either inseparable
talking or visiting each other multiple times a day
or like oil and water working out a tif-sibling rivalry at its worse I guess...either way I'll cherish our memories forever

....Rib and Rock
....Ric taught me how to walk...i was slow learner and he wanted to explore with me:)
....Switching classes in HS
....Switching dates in HS
....Working together as a close-knit team for over 4 decades
....Doing business together over 4 years as Rare (Richard Allen,Rober Edward) Technologies
Ric's vision drawfed mine in respect to reading people and become a trusted advocate to our client....Ric consummated the biggest deals in our company's history.

Ric bailed me out of many hard times without question or judgement and I tried to return the many favors I owed him
Unfortunately I ran out of time but will never forget
his stength and support he provided me when I needed it.
Ric taught me the key to balance work/life
I'm still working on that but he laid
down the foundation for me to get started
He learned guitar when he was young
and we entered a talent contest. Ric played
Bob Dylan's Blowing in the Wind
so perfectly and I sang probably off key:)
Ric and I were alot alike yet different
We worked and played hard!
He motivated me to create
a non-profit commercial software app that
lasted 15 yrs.

We had countless hilarious wild scary times and got through them together and now so priceless times
We were born in-sync, as one and so comfortable in our skins what a treat it was to be a twin.
Ric injected insight into who I was in 1990. I asked him "Tell me who you think I am in 1 sentence" as always he quickly replied "You like to create things" I never thought of myseft in that role but he convinced me ...so Thank You Ric ! You've helped me since the beginning to make me the man I am today.
Ric was highly sucessful person in business and most importantly protected, cherished, nurtured, always talked about his family....I can only hope to achieve that legacy in my lifetime.

I know you are with Mom, Grandpa/Grandma, Aunt Laney, Uncle Bob and many other souls and have you laughing and watching over all of us all the time and I'll miss you deeply Bro!

I just wanted to express my sympathies to the family. My daughter, Maggie Brown, is a friend and classmate of Ricky's (son.) She and I are sad for Ricky's loss and just wanted to let you know that. I saw Ricky at OU in April - he is such a fine young man.

I would like to express my deepest condolences to the Rhodes family. I went to school with Ric and a few of the family members. I remember when I saw Ric and Rob that to tell them apart was hectic, but Ric was a great guy. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Godspeed Ric and to know you will be looking down and watching over your family is a blessing and you have left heartprints.

I really don't know what to say, but I would like to share a few sweet memories I have of Ric. Being the youngest baby sister, I don't have a lot of early memories of Ric. Sadly, our lives didn't meet very often except at family parties or get-togethers. One early memory that sticks out the most is when he played his guitar and sang Rocky Raccoon over and over in his room for me - I was in awe! Another earlier memory was how he and Michael taught me how to dance at one of the weddings! I thought that was so cool! When we had our family Christmas party at Ric and Maureen's house, I was older and saw the sparkle of love they had for each other in their eyes, actions and words - so beautiful, it gave my heart happiness to see it! One recent memory was the adult night out where we ate at "the Mexican restaurant in Amherst" then hung out in downtown Amherst - Ric and all of us were having so much fun-he just wanted us to dance! Another recent memory was when he played his little guitar at a family get together - once again enjoying his gift of music and my older daughter, Brianna, had a chance to talk music with him! At the last Christmas party he hung out with my baby Heather for a bit and encouraging her to use the mike on Nell's karaoke! It was so cute an exchange! Even though I didn't hang out with him a lot, the times we did see each other were so enjoyable because he is such a gentle, loving soul! I am going to miss him the rest of my life, but I know he is jamming on his guitar and singing and dancing!! So, I smile! I love you Ric!!!
