Sandra Risdon's Obituary
Sandra Lee Risdon (nee Najdl), age 70, of Lorain passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at New Life Hospice Residential Center.
She was born on January 25, 1943 in Dillonvale, Ohio to James and Anne (nee Michalo) Najdl. Sandra was a 1960 graduate of Dillonvale High School.
Sandra was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Lorain, the Red Hats and bowling leagues at Broadway and Shoreway Lanes.
She was an excellent homemaker, who enjoyed keeping her home beautifully and tastefully decorated. A very good cook, she always made sure that there was extra for any unexpected guest. With raising 5 boys there were always friends staying for dinner. She also had a love of shopping. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.
Sandra is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert Lee Risdon; sons, Gary (Tracy) Risdon, of Columbia Station, Stephen (Diane) Risdon, of Lorain, Robby (Kim) Risdon, of Lorain, Shawn Risdon, of Boiling Springs, SC and Christopher (Tricia), of Belleville, MI; grandchildren, Penny Clay, Corey, Jaret, Sam, Dylan, Amanda, Rebecca, Sarah, Hunter and Robert Risdon; great-grandchildren, Amber, Kierstin, Matthew, Luke, Liam and Sophia; brother, John Najdl; and sister, Carol Merkel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Anne Najdl; and brothers, James and Donovan Najdl.
The Risdon family will receive friends on Friday, July 19, 2013 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral center. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
