I was contacted by my family to tell me about Sheri and I feel profound saddness. My sympathies are extended to all of her family. The Ivancic family were all so close to my family back in the days of the Riviera swim club. We swam together and played together and our parents were good friends as well. Sadly, we have not been in touch over the past 50+ years. I have not forgotten your family. You are in my prayers.
Sheri and her family took us under their wings years ago when we first moved on to Edison Drive in Vermilion. They included us in family gatherings, helped with repairs at our home, and the young men even asked me to play ball with them once in awhile. Her spirited interest in her family and her community was a joy to watch and we applauded her ascent to the Vermilion City Council and the good work she did there. And, we watched her balance her family responsibilities with the task of gaining her professional training---all with good humor and genuine decency. We are grateful that she included us in her far-too-short time on this planet. Our best wishes.

I have fond memories of you & Sheri from Riviera swimming pool and more recently St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
