Teresa M. Dudukovich's Obituary
Teresa M. Dudukovich, age 70, of Olmsted Falls and formerly of Lorain passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Riverview Pointe Care Center.
She was born on February 14, 1952 in Elyria, Ohio to Hugo Zimmer and Elsie (nee Stoll) Gochnour. Teresa graduated from Lorain High School. She continued her education at Lorain County Community College where she earned her Associates Degree in Office Information Systems.
Teresa made her career as a homemaker until her children were raised and she went to work at May National Bank of Ohio/May Credit in the training department.
She served as a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader and taught Sunday school at Zion Lutheran Church in Lorain. Teresa was a unique and imaginative person. She was deeply creative and loved making things. She was a talented seamstress – particularly gowns, costumes, and soft sculpture dolls. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, crafting, and baking. She also loved puppets, telling stories, and aspired to be an author. She was also an avid reader, particularly science fiction and fantasy.
Teresa is survived by her daughters, Rebecca E. Dudukovich, and Rachel Dudukovich- Bronczek (Michael); and her brother Frank (Dee) Gochnour.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, John Dudukovich, this past April 2022; parents, Hugo Zimmer and Elsie Gochnour; and her sister, Kathy.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 22, 2022 starting at 10:00 a.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral center. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
